A Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) is responsible for ensuring that all financial records of a company are accurate and up to date. The CPB is responsible for preparing, analyzing and verifying financial records, as well as preparing financial statements, tax returns and reports. The CPB must have a solid understanding of accounting principles, regulations and systems to perform the job effectively.

The CPB will use software programs to record, store, and analyze financial data. They will also use spreadsheets to record and analyze the data, and prepare reports. The CPB must be able to identify, analyze and reconcile discrepancies in financial reports.
